Hello! I'm Eleni, and I graduated from Iowa State University in December 2014 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in English. My passion for writing began at an early age, with short stories about characters that I made up or borrowed from books and movies. Growing up on the countryside of a small town in Iowa, I needed a wild imagination to keep myself entertained, and I found I had a knack for storytelling.
That love for words and stories continued throughout the years, inspiring me to take creative writing courses in high school and college along the way to earning my English minor. When it came to choosing a career, it was obvious writing would have to be a part of it. I found that magazine writing suited me best, because it allowed me to write about real-life topics in a more creative way. And for me, that's the best of both worlds.
My passions have evolved along with the digital world, and online publishing and social media have become my favorite tools for content sharing. I utilize each of these daily in the form of my personal blog, miscelenious, which covers a few of my favorite topics: fashion, relationships, entertainment, food and places.

My dream is to write for an online magazine where I can cover a variety of topics, ranging from fashion to current events, and work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. I thrive in creative atmospheres and enjoy working with teams to find solutions and solve problems.
